The MUK PRESS operates as a Platinum Open Access publisher, ensuring that research content is freely accessible to the public, promoting global knowledge exchange. Authors are obliged to provide the MUK PRESS and the respective journal an exclusive license for open access publication of their articles under a Creative Commons attribution license (http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0). This license allows unrestricted distribution, usage, and reproduction in any medium, ensuring proper citation of the original work. Importantly, authors retain the copyright of their articles. There are no submission or article processing fees for authors since the MUK PRESS is financially supported by Kurdistan University of Medical Sciences.

Indexing and Archiving

MUK's journals receive coverage from prestigious databases such as the Emerging Sources Citation Index, Scopus, PubMed, IMEMR, and the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ). To maintain the credibility and accessibility of scientific literature, full-text articles are archived in XML format within the globally recognized PubMed Central repository, accessible via its primary portal and associated portals in the UK, Canada, and South Korea. Additionally, for enhanced visibility, articles are disseminated through prominent platforms like ProQuest, EBSCO, and J-Gate.

Permanency of Articles

 Archiving:

The MUK Press ensures the long-term preservation of its publications. All articles are archived in the National Library and Archives of IRAN and e-print, guaranteeing permanent storage for electronic scholarly journals. Moreover, as part of the e-print initiative, libraries have the opportunity to maintain their archives of content from various publishers. Several of our journals are also featured in PubMed Central, a digital repository maintained by the U.S. National Institutes of Health's National Library of Medicine, housing full-text research papers.
