History    

             The proposal to launch the AI in Health and Medical Sciences Research Center (AIHMSRC)    was put forward in line with the country's macro policies in September 2025, and after holding numerous meetings, it was finally approved in the meeting of March 2026 as an activity with internal authorization, and its main activity began in April 2026

Vision   

                         The center's vision is to become a reputable, leading authority in the region in the field of health artificial intelligence over the next ten years, so that its achievements have a direct and tangible impact on the community's health indicators and the country's health economy.

Mission   

            The mission of this center is to advance science, technology, and innovation in applied artificial intelligence for health and medical sciences, to take a fundamental step towards transforming the country's health system through targeted interdisciplinary research, empowering human resources, and creating effective links with the health industry.

Goals   

           Developing and localizing advanced artificial intelligence algorithms for analyzing medical images and clinical data for automatic diagnosis of diseases

         Designing and deploying clinical decision support systems to assist professionals in diagnosis, treatment, and health interventions

           Creating comprehensive platforms for monitoring population health, predicting epidemics, and identifying environmental hazards with big data analysis

         Facilitating research in the field of personalized medicine, discovering new drugs, and designing personal health education programs

       Developing standards, ethical principles, and data governance frameworks for the responsible use of artificial intelligence in health

         Training specialized and creative human resources in the interdisciplinary fields of artificial intelligence, medical sciences, and health sciences

          Developing international cooperation and interaction with leading scientific and technological centers in the world

         The AIHMSRC intends to prioritize the following strategies in its activities in line with the growth and development of the center, considering the human resource potential of the province and the university, the presence of faculty members and other researchers in the field, as well as the existence of upstream support and the potential for attracting and collaborating with other institutions:
