EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION:

Ph.D. in Clinical Biochemistry, Tarbiat Modares University, Tehran, Iran.

M.Sc. in Clinical Biochemistry, Hamadan University of Medical Sciences, Hamadan, Iran.

BACKGROUND:

I am currently a researcher in the cellular and molecular research center, Kurdistan University of medical sciences. I am also the head and assistant professor of Clinical Biochemistry at the Departments of Biochemistry of the Kurdistan University of medical sciences. I am the Director of Breast cancer research program at the Kurdistan University of medical sciences.

I have reviewed more than 100 manuscript for outstanding journal. In 2019, I have reviewed several articles in the field of cancer biology and clinical laboratory for Clinica Chimica Acta, BMJ open, Experimental and Therapeutic Medicine, International Journal of Molecular Medicine, Oncology letter and Etc.  I am a member of the Biochemical Society of Iran that is under supervision of the International Federation of Clinical Chemistry (IFCC). I am also a member of the Medicine program board of the Iran Ministry of Health and Medical Education. 

I have been actively involved in both basic and clinical laboratory research since 2011 and has published over 50 articles and abstracts in the field of breast cancer genetic polymorphism, molecular mechanism of epigenetic changes in breast cancer, and development of new biomarkers for breast cancer diagnosis and management. I have received several national awards for research excellence including the 2014 and 2015 Kurdistan University of Medical Sciences best researcher Award, and 2016 and 2019 Ministry of Health and Medical Education young scientist Research grant.

Teaching:

Teaching experience in theoretical and practical classes for M.Sc. and bachelor students in Kurdistan University of medical sciences.

Supervising PhD and MSc thesis.

Recent Research Projects:

Head of team working on the impacts of epigenetic changes on breast cancer development.
